A baby elephant theme is so sweet for a first birthday!  Tanya, of Life’s Little Celebrations, explained how elephants make her think of memories of the first year, elephant families walking together holding trunks, and little (pink) peanuts!  With all of those elements incorporated into the party, Tanya designed a meaningful and adorable first birthday for her daughter, Rebekah!

I love the sweet cake~

Tanya put together a beautiful sweets display as the focal point~ the details are perfect!

Tanya added a ferris wheel with pink pails filled with veggies as a complement to the delicious sweets~

The pink sugared peanuts are a great idea~

The felt elephants are so charming~ as is the beautiful birthday girl with her family!

I also love how they made a photo canvas to share each stage of Rebekah’s first year!

Guests were treated to lovely party favors as a thank you for celebrating with sweet Rebekah~

What a precious party!  Thank you for sharing with us, Tanya!  Find more info on this party and great party ideas from Tanya at Life’s Little Celebrations.

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

TEA PARTY FOR LONDON

Oh, my- what a tea party!  With so many unique and cute details, you will love seeing this darling party by The Sweetest Affair!  Mom Aaliyah planned this sweet affair for her own daughter London- and hosted a tea party with whimsical flair.  With a candy-covered tea pot, a funny spout of tea (made from Sixlets candy) shooting from teapot to tea cup, and a precious book on two-year old etiquette, this party was fit for a Birthday Queen!

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
