The magic of Peter Pan mystifies and fascinates children again and again!  Kristina, of Modern Frills, hosted this super cute and fantastically fun party for her daughter’s birthday- her daughter loves all things Peter Pan!  I think you will love the colorful popcorn, the gorgeously glittered invitations, and the fabulous DIY watercolor crowns!  Everything glimmers with a twinkle of magic!

Kristina made the great chalkboard signs, and she and her daughter painted the tablecloth for the dessert table.  They also made the adorable glittered invitations by hand!

I especially love the watercolored crowns that they made for each guest~

I also love the cute way that they served popcorn!  So festive with a touch of color magic!

The cookies were sweet designs that honored the birthday girl with her initial and mimicked the invitation with cake!

This big smile says it all!  Neverland was so much fun!  Thank you for sharing the party, Kristina!

Kristina offers lots of tutorials on how she made many of the elements of this party- check out her blog (and her CUTE tees for children) at Modern Frills.

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!

ABRACADABRA~ A MAGIC PARTY

Abracadabra…Graham is 6!  My sweet little guy celebrated his birthday recently and wanted to have Mark the Magic Man come to his party…so we put together a magical good time to celebrate another fun year!  I have so many photos to share with you!  Pastry chef, Patrick Dezii and Brittany of Edible Details worked their magic to create a cake that had magic falling from the hat~
