ADORABLE HORSE COOKIES

Hold on to your Derby hats!  Norene, of Party Pinching, has come up with the cutest and funniest little horses for you to make with your children for Derby Day!  The Kentucky Derby is often an elegant affair geared toward adults enjoying their mint-juleps, but Norene has come up with a fabulous way to include the children- and she is sharing her idea with us!  Make these ahead or let the children make their own!  They are sure to be a winner!

To make the adorable little horses, you will need

Pepperidge Farms Dark Chocolate Milano Melts,

Mini Nilla Wafers,

Licorice Ropes,

Tootsie Rolls for ears,

Candy Eyes

and Caramel for the mane (cut with a mini daisy cookie cutter).

The felt rose was made by Christie Colla.

Let's have another look!

Be sure to stop by and see all of the amazingly creative ideas that Norene shares at Party Pinching!  Norene really ought to write a book- she has the most creative and original treats and crafts to share!

Thank you, Norene!!

These cookies are adorable! They seem to be simple enough even for kids to put together. What a great afternoon snack or party treat.
