BACK TO SCHOOL

As the children are getting excited about heading back to school, send them off with these fun, tasty treats from the always-amazing Norene of Party Pinching!  Norene always comes up with such creative ways to celebrate an occasion and keeps in mind "easy and cost-friendly"!  Grab an apple and enjoy...you will definitely want to take notes!

Norene made these shiny apple cupcakes (and she offers a FREE download of the cupcake toppers on her website)...

Norene also dipped pretzel twists in red candy melts and then added a sour apple candy straw for an apple flavor!

This little apple orchard is sprouting with cuteness- and seems so easy to make!  Using small, red lollipops, Norene added another sour apple straw stem and a green hear leaf.  Adorable!

I also love the polka-dot straws over the stick and how each one is nestled in red candies!

Another clever sweet is the way Norene used store-bought Rice Krispies to make notebook paper!

Using fondant, simply cut a white rectangle to fit the Rice Krispie Treat and then use an edible marker to line the paper.  Add ABC sprinkles and a pencil made of a pretzel wrapped with a Fruit Roll Up and dipped in chocolate for a sharp point!   Make the apple out of a gumdrop with a Jimmie stem and heart sprinkles.

Fruit Roll up Crayons were easy to make! They are Pepperidge Farm Pirouette cookies trimmed with a chocolate chip on one end. Then wrap the Fruit Roll Up around it, and trim off the excess with kitchen shears. An edible black marker was used to decorate them.

If you have a pudding lover in your home, he or she will love finding pudding in a bowl with Alpha-Bits cereal as a topping!  You just may fool them at first!  And, everyone knows eating Alphabet soup makes you smarter (just ask Martha!)...but I bet no one ever made it out of pudding!

Leave it to Party Pinching to get the children ready for an another exciting year of school!  Serving treats like these will have everyone thrilled and looking forward to a fun year in the classroom!  Here's to a great year!!
