As the Christmas holiday season begins, so many children are excitedly making their wish lists for Santa!  What a great idea to get together with friends to write letters to Santa and enjoy the thrill of the beginning of the holiday season.  Jennifer of Double the Fun Parties shows us easy tips for kicking off the fun in the perfect way!  So, invite your friends and let Santa know how good you’ve been this year!

Guests were encouraged to fill their plates with Christmas treats and head over to the table to enjoy their treats and begin writing their letters to Santa… I love how Jennifer mixed simple candies and fancy cupcakes and cookies to create an adorable sweets selection~

The bottles of milk were dressed for the party with matching, customized labels…

I also love how Jennifer added peppermint candy balls to the decorations around the rosemary plants that she placed on the tables- a cute and whimsical touch!

And the adorable letters spelling JOY~

And then, down to business…

The printable Letter to Santa makes a great impression when it reaches the North Pole, I am sure!

Along with the customized stamps!

Jennifer also provided a craft activity for each child by placing all of the needed craft supplies in mini lunchboxes that she covered in scrapbook paper to match the party!

What a delightful way to start the Christmas season!  Thank you for sharing you party ideas, Jennifer!

You can find the Letters to Santa Package in Jennifer’s Etsy Shop!  How exciting to have it ready to print and sent to your inbox!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.
