Recently, a friend asked if I could help her come up with a cute Summer Mix that she could take to her daughter’s preschool class for the end-of-the-year party. I thought you all might enjoy a few ideas that you could use for a summer party- or to take on that long ride to the beach when the little travelers get hungry.
I like to ask them if they can figure out what each one “represents” related to the beach theme! Don’t worry, I will give you all the answers below…
A little healthier…
The ideas I used in the mix are the following- choose what you like the best and mix it up!
FISH- Goldfish crackers (variety), Swedish fish gummies
BEACH BALLS- Kix Cereal, Trix Cereal, Sixlets
LIFE PRESERVERS- Yogurt covered pretzel circles, Cheerios, Froot Loops,
SUNSHINE- Banana chips
TOO MUCH SUNSHINE- Raisins
POOL NOODLES- Pretzels, sour gummy worms
TROPICAL FRUIT- Candy mix that includes candy bananas, oranges, watermelons, etc. (found at Target)
Serve it in a sand bucket with a “Dive In” sign!
Or individually in cups, cello baggies, or cupcake liners…
And don’t forget the shovel!
Enjoy– wherever your summer trails take you!!
