Sweet Birthday Girl, Brynn, wanted to invite her friends to her party so that they could just talk and dance!  With a DJ as the entertainment, we added a few fun elements that had Brynn dancing with joy! Check out these fun birthday dance party ideas!

The backdrop glowed with lights through an art canvas and tissue poms scattered and secured with Glue Dots.  Mercury glass candles, surrounded by a pink boa, lit each table.  Origami stars dotted the tables…

The star wands were perfect for the easy “Dancing Queen Doughnuts”~  Mini tulle poms added to the decorations…

The Pop Star Soda Bar was a big hit with pink soda with custom labels and tied with blue ribbons…

The table was lit with glowing orbs and small signs with lights~

The glasses were rimmed with pop rocks for an extra dose of fun!

Brynn requested a Sundae Bar for her party.  Ice cream with “Chart Toppers” for the toppings!

The push-pop microphones served as the party favors- Brynn loved having her name on them!

Brynn and her friends also ooohed and aaahed over the cake!  They loved how big it was!

A fun day for all of the adorable dancing queens!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRYNN!

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

ABRACADABRA~ A MAGIC PARTY

Abracadabra…Graham is 6!  My sweet little guy celebrated his birthday recently and wanted to have Mark the Magic Man come to his party…so we put together a magical good time to celebrate another fun year!  I have so many photos to share with you!  Pastry chef, Patrick Dezii and Brittany of Edible Details worked their magic to create a cake that had magic falling from the hat~
