I spent many days pulling a little red wagon around our yard and watching the delighted little faces of my children as they bumped along when they were very little.  When I saw this adorable party by Nicolle, of Libby Lane Press, I couldn’t wait to share it with you.  The day was so beautifully captured by photographer Ali Caudill… this first birthday party is full of great ideas and a lovely little birthday boy!

I love the combination of the wagon, the pinwheels, and the stripes and dots~the dessert table ties it all together with beautiful red and aqua treats for the guests to enjoy!

Nicolle designed the cutest party stationery to help everything coordinate for Andrew’s first birthday~

First birthdays are often celebrations that include a wide range of friends and family of all ages.  I love how this party incorporated activities for the older kids while staying true to the focus of the day- Andrew!  Swim slides and an on-site brick oven pizzeria were such perfect choices for the older guests!

I love this set-up!  Choose your favorite pizza and have it made right here!

Fun drinks make for funny faces!

The precious birthday boy enjoying his day!

What a beautiful celebration!

Thank you, Nicolle and Ali for sharing this precious and fun party!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
