Start with a jaw-dropping, gorgeous garden, add precious girls, adorable activities, and yummy treats, and you have a most-wonderful Garden Tea Party for two darling little Birthday Girls!
Moms Michelle and Lisa hosted this lovely Tea Party in the Garden and made it an exquisite day with the sweetest southern style! The party was held in the garden of the grandparents of one of the birthday girls. It was a stunning setting on its own, but add all of the children and the lovely details and the garden grew more beautiful, if even possible! As the children arrived, the hostesses met them wearing beautiful hats for the party!
The tea party table was set with teapot cakes at each end of the table, representing the two birthday girls…
Each place setting had a small bouquet of flowers for the guests to take home with them~
Each guest also received a miniature hat box with lace gloves and pearls tucked inside. The girls wore them as they enjoyed their lemonade and sweets.
The children were served traditional southern party fare complete with cheese straws, finger sandwiches, scones, and fruit~

A silver tea service was a perfect touch for a southern tea party!
The activities were just as sweet as the girls! I loved how perfectly planned each activity was and how the girls worked so quietly and enthusiastically! This group photo shows them waiting patiently for each friend to arrive- and then they would run to greet and hug the guest that arrived!

~Decorating hats for themselves and their dolls
~Making Flower Lollipops
~Serving tea to their dolls on a quilt in the garden
~Listening to their preschool teacher read Sweet Teas in her cute southern drawl
~A Tea Party, of course!
Their preschool teacher surprised them with a visit while they had a tea party with their dolls…
Then, she led them to a shady spot to listen to the story~ I love this photo!
Another special part of the party was that all of the grandmothers were there to celebrate and enjoy!
After the story, the children had their own tea party and enjoyed all of the treats!
Such a sweet and happy day for everyone!

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party! For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style! So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan! It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN! Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.
LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE PARTY
What began as a simple gesture to introduce my daughter to a wonderful book series has become a special evening ritual for us- reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House books! I must admit, I didn’t realize quite how interesting these books would be to her, but she cannot wait to read all nine in the series. It was only fitting that her birthday party focus around Little House on the Prairie! Together, we had a ball planning all of the details of her party that related to the books in some way. At Camille’s request, we focused on some of her favorite parts of the stories… prairie flowers, covered wagons, tee pees, the colors in the drawings of the books, and “pretty”…because “Ma” liked things to be pretty!
CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS
Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time! My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun! Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes! For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!
