So, this may be the easiest summer treat you have ever made!  Your kids will think you are the greatest, and the hardest part of the “recipe” (ha ha) is the waiting for it to freeze!  My kids love lollipops, soda pop, and popsicles~ and so I combined them all to make a TRIPLE POP kind of treat!

How to make LolliPOPsicles…

We made our popsicle treats with July 4th in mind, but you can choose any lollipop in any color that you like!  First, unwrap the lollipops…I tied a small ribbon on each stick before we made the pops~

It is much easier to tie on a ribbon before you make the popsicles-

We used Sprite for the popsicles.  We poured Sprite into small, plastic containers (like Tupperware) and placed in freezer for about an hour…

Next, we pushed the lollipop into the semi-frozen popsicle.  My daughter wanted to sprinkle red, white, and blue sprinkles on top.  It was such a cute idea- and so we did all of the popsicles with sprinkle

We also used star-shaped sprinkles…big hit!

And so, after much waiting (they kept peeping and so it took longer to freeze)…the lollipop popsicles were ready to enjoy!

A few notes…the lollipops should be inserted in the Sprite after the Sprite has frozen a little bit.  Also, the lollipop will dissolve a little which made the color in the popsicle.  Serve popsicles with a bowl or cup.

We also tried a candy stick as the “stick” of the popsicle, but guess what?  It was too sticky!!  🙂  It didn’t stop the kids from eating it, but the candy sticks were a little messy!

Enjoy!  And, let me know if you try these or have any other lollipop popsicle ideas to share!!

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.
