I always love seeing how Nikka, of Triple M Good Parties, celebrates her children’s birthdays! This Berry Bash for 2-year-old Miles is adorable. A berry theme is perfect for a family-style, backyard, get-together… complete with hot dogs and hamburgers, it has a fabulous picnic feel to it. And, I LOVE it that it is a berry party designed for a BOY!
The chalkboard sign is the cutest way to add a little hand-drawn charm to the party- it just feels festive and welcoming!
I’m crazy about the little strawberry “Smash Cake” just for Miles! A tradition that is usually reserved for the first birthday, I think it is fabulous that Nikka continued it for the 2nd birthday, too! That little balloon on top is just perfect!
I am loving how everything is painted red… chalkboard stand, chairs, and frame!
Boatloads of berries balanced out the yummy desserts and added a healthy little kick to the party!
Those pie pops look amazing, and blueberry shortcake? YUM!

My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun! Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes! For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor! There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party! For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style! So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan! It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN! Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.
Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN
Wow! My daughter turned into a teen! Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone. I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key. At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate. I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ). So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could. It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.
