Ivy Odom is so much fun to follow~ and has a drive and ambition that is more than admirable!ย She is one of my favorite people to spotlight on my blog, and I am especially excited to share some of Ivy's tips with everyone at The Supper Club.ย If you haven't met Ivy yet, be sure to find her on Instagram and follow along with her at Southern Living, too.ย Not only is Ivy "one to watch"...she's just plain fun to watch!ย Ivy is high energy with a zest for making and doing and getting so many things accomplished.
Ivy went to college at University of Georgia in Athens (where I live), and we reference her alma mater in the video because we made this video on a big football game day- it was UGA vs FL which is a huge rivalry.ย There's nothing like a football Saturday in the SEC!
Here's Ivy with her suggestion for a unique and simple side dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals... I made the recipe and really loved the different flavors.ย My kids discovered that they really like Moondrop Grapes. I served it with Brie and a salted cracker.ย I can't wait to serve it alongside our turkey and dressing this Thanksgiving!

2 cups Moondrop or Concord Grapes (seedless)
1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1 3/4 cup Honeycrisp apple (chopped)
1 chopped shallot (small)
3 TBS butter
1 1/2 TBS maple syrup
thyme (for garnish)
Place grapes, cranberries, apple, and shallot on a sheet pan. Bake at 350 degrees (F) until grapes and berries burst (about 25 minutes).
Remove from oven and top with butter. Let butter melt over berries.
Add maple syrup.
Mix all ingredients together and let cool.
Serve as a side to turkey and dressing or as a chutney with cheese and crackers.
Enjoy!

Enjoy!!
Cheers,

PS~ I used a potato masher to press the grapes a little more after I made it.ย It made the consistency easier to enjoy on a cracker but is not necessary.ย Just an extra tip if you prefer- you could also chop the grapes before baking them. xoLM
