These are hopping with fun!! I was thrilled to add a set of Bunny Dress Peg Dolls to my shop! They fit inside plastic eggs and are perfect for unique surprises inside eggs! Perfect for baskets or parties, too!
There are 5 wooden dolls in this set- each is hand-painted by me. I use non-toxic paint and sealant. Each set comes in a cotton, drawstring bag and is ready for travel! They are so cute and kids just love tiny things! These are 2 inches tall.
They each have an adorable little bunny tail on the back!
“Red lips and rosy cheeks…”, that song stays in my mind when I am painting these tiny little cuties! This cheerful set is a mix of patterns and colors and is available in my shop now! I really want to put them on top of some cupcakes for a party!
Hello! I have been away from my blog for a bit because I have focused a little more attention on opening a new shop! It is called HELLO DOLLIES BY LYDIA and it is on Etsy. You may have to type the name in all pushed together to make it pop up on Etsy. I love cute gifts and party favors- along with cute party decor…and so I started painting these sweet little wooden dolls (it really happened quite by accident). I love doing these, and wanted to share them with you!
We are getting ready for two graduations in our family this year! My nieces are both graduating (one from college and one from high school), and so I thought the kids would love to make something for them to give them on their big day! This idea is so very easy! Basically, you can adapt it to make it work for you! YOU CAN WATCH OUR VIDEO ON HOW TO MAKE THESE! They are easy enough for the kids to do!
You will need…
1. Clear Containers (we used Starbucks Frappucino Bottles and large Gerber baby food jars)
2. Cupcake Liners (black)
3. Black Paper cut in squares to fit over cupcake liners (we used Elmer’s Chalkboard Foam Board so that we could write on the hats easily)
4. Glue or Glue Dots
6. Yarn for tassels
8. Hershey Kisses (or candy of your choice)
Fill the container with the candy of your choice. We used Sixlets and Jelly Beans to match the school colors. M&M’s work well, too!
To make the graduation cap, place a black cupcake liner over the top of the bottle top. Add the black square to the top with glue. Remember to write your message on the black square before you attach it to the cupcake liner.
For the tassel, use 2 strings of yarn. Put them together and then fold in half. Glue or tape the tassel to the center of the black square. Use these for party favors or as sweet and simple gifts for a graduate. They are great for Kindergarten graduations all the up to college graduations!
I hope you are all doing well! My blog has been on “pause” for awhile mainly due to time contraints. I am hoping to be back here a little more often and to bring you a few new things along the way. My kids and I have been playing around with the idea of doing a video for you all. I must admit, we can only improve from here!! We laugh at our first attempt, but you have to start somewhere…
We make these marshmallow flowers every year in different versions. I used to have my classes make these for their moms on Mother’s Day (we would invite the moms to a Mother’s Day Tea) when I taught school. They have been a big hit for so many years, and so we thought we would start with something “tried and true” to bring you our first ever video. Remember, we can only get better from here!! 🙂 It has been fun and funny to make the video- the kids love the bloopers at the end. We hope you learn a little something that you can use- and we hope that your kids can learn from it, too! We would love for it to be a video that they can follow along with and make something fun with minimal help from their parents. Here goes…please watch our video below (and you can be our very first subscriber- we have 0!)…
