This party pops in all kinds of cute ways!  A POP-ART PARTY- inspired by the pop-art masters themselves- is a really fun way to unleash your creative side and celebrate someone special!  Tiffany, of Lookie Boo, designed this fabulous party for her son on his 4th birthday.  It is a fantastic combination of an Art Party and a Rainbow Party all in one-with the most creative spins that make it unlike any other!  I love all of the handmade touches and really fun ideas to incorporate the likes of Andy Warhol right there with the budding imaginations of 4-year-olds!

The table decorations, napkins and plates were an explosion of color and patterns and a perfect complement to all of the serving tables! 

 I love how paint splatters and artists’ palettes were used for the cupcake decorations!

The drinks were fab- with customized water bottles and mason jars with daisy lids!

The wooden utensils were hand-stamped and perfect for the geometric patterns and color-loaded theme!

There were loads of artistic activities for the guests to do- one of Tiffany’s favorites was the handmade, customized coloring book with pictures of Jude.  Guests were invited to color those with crayons labeled for Jude’s birthday party!

Little artists were set free to explore with lots of colors and artistic mediums~

Favor bags echoed the bold geometric patterns that were used throughout the party and were topped with adorable mini palettes!

I just love how bright and happy this party is!  It is a great example of how to use colors and patterns as your guide to a terrific way to host a celebration!  You really can let your imagination run wild and see the most creative ideas come to life!  And, the pop-art-inspired posters lend a great personal touch!  It’s FAB!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child! 

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover. 

BEAUTY QUEEN BIRTHDAY

This gorgeous and adorable party was designed by LookieBoo for her little girl who was celebrating her 2nd birthday.  Her parents have always called her their “Beauty Queen” which became the obvious theme for her celebration.  With a windy, rainy day to add drama to their day, the party was rushed inside and displayed beautifully.  LookieBoo definitely earned her crown with this delightfully girly party for her daughter, Ruby Mae!
