This canopy and awning was built just for this dessert table.  It resembled the invitation perfectly.

Ice cream cone cookies are adorable!

And so is this super-cute ice cream cone garland!  I love it!

Did you notice these little Minnie crystals on the spoons?  How cute!

And pink macrons with Minnie’s signature look on them…

Check out the sprinkles on the ice cream!

Minni Mouse Oreos are just too cute!!  Simply use one larger Oreo for the face and a mini Oreo (half) for the ears!

Minnie Ears everywhere!!

Such a beautiful cake with a gorgeous pink bow!

Marshmallow ice cream cones look like real ice cream- but much easier to serve!

Look at this table!!!  Full of sugary cuteness! The desserts included sugar cookies, chocolate shaped ice cream cups, marshmallow pops, french macarons, marshmallow cones, strawberry shortcake, Oreo pops, rock candy, kisses and gumballs.

The decorations and details were just perfect- and so fun for the guests!  Can I call that a “warm welcome”?

There was even a mini sized ice cream topping bar!

This table set up is super cute with its own ice cream bowls and spoons!  Those little ice cream cones are bubble favors.

Minnie Mouse-shaped sandwiches for lunch…

Dressed-up pop corn boxes…

And, how much fun is this adorable little Minnie Mouse Paper Lantern??  I love the thought and creativity behind this!  So cute!

What a wonderful party, Carol!  Thank you for sharing another of your fabulous parties!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
